Raygun had veto power. He had no trouble getting massive tax cuts enacted and his other programs encated and raising the budget deficit from Carters' 50 billion deficit to 250 billion which went on for 8 years of Raygun and 4 years of bush sr. Raygun and bush added three trillion to the deficit in just 12 years. We had less than a trillion dollar deficit before Raygun took over. Raygun gave the illegals amnesty. Regeans rich friends (the peoeple who picked him and puthim in power) wanted illegals for cheap labor. But lets say you are right and the dems stopped Raygun from doing something about the illegal immegration. Exactly what was it raygun tried to do about it the dems stopped? Thems the facts dude.
