But...............can't others make copies of credit cards and the like and go on a spending spree? We had that happen to us about 10 yrs ago. There was a very sophisticated Asian ring that had the equipment and blanks for Mastercard. They took our acct number off of a receipt and made a card for themselves. They spent over 20,000 one three day weekend.

Freezing accts prevents people from looking inside those accts, but I don't think it prevents people from raiding your accts via fake credit cards?

Hmmm. Maybe that is it. Don't know but I still feel safer.
