If the Feds are going to throw around bailout cash, IMO the cash for clunkers program was one of the better ones in terms of immediate economic impact, as you say. Around 700k cars sold for 3B. If one is going to pick on this stuff, a better case is what we will get for the 180 BILLION thrown down the AIG rathole.... (Which gets us back to that pesky Brooksley Born <ggg>).

ObamaCare is as bad of an idea as HillaryCare. HillaryCare was responsible for Republican control of Congress. People hate this just about as much. 2010 is not that far away.
