All informed and thoughtful opinions should be listened to... (even those of a 'counter-terrorism expert', scholar-in-residence with the New York police department, former CIA case officer in Islamabad in the late 1980s with close experience actually working with the Afghan mujahedin. <g>) Regardless of people and personalities though, I greatly agree with the comment that "terror plots now come out of Pakistan". Pakistan is the very HEART of the Taliban, (a sanctuary for them that Bush practically ignored and allowed to fester...). Nothing really approaching "victory" will ever be possible until the war is won in PAKISTAN.
