You mean you didn't swim in those ditches if they were big enough or at least played int them. I lived at 27th Ave and Northern. We had lots of them way back then. We lived in the last subdivision out there in the boonies.

Did you ever eat them? We have a slough in town and I've seen local kids diving for them. I finally talked to a couple of them and they said they are really tasty.
