Barry,

USRX x2 modems are not symetrical. That is they have max 56K download and 33K upload. So two modems connected are always limited to 33K. Same is true of the rockwell standard. (56Kflex or something like that.)

I'm using a USRX 56k X2 modem, but in this application I am getting no more than 33.6, even if the other person also has a 56k modem.

the theoretical 56K works only one way - receiving. Sending is only 33.3K. 56k connection can only be achieved between a 56k receving modem and 56k sending modem (ISP type)
