Virus JS/Dir update. Looks like I finally killed it.

I used the resources of AVG paid subscription and upgraded to AVG 9.0 which it working OK now.

Had to use an image of XP before I was infected with the virus though, and updated my files from the infected copy. I have an image of the infected copy and placed on an external drive that is now disconnected from my PC. (it's on my old PC's HD that I stuck in an enclosure, aways knew I would find a use for it).

I had some older software that was easily infected with a virus that I had let through my firewall at some point. I was alerted to the problem but thought I got rid of it.

It prompted me to do a deeper review of my security, checking various things, and I thought I had a strong password on my administrator account in safe mode but didn't. opps. Fixed now.

Upgraded some software for a few bucks, I hate spending money on software but once a decade is OK I think.
