PC Data September
Corel Office didnt make it for the top ten bestselling Win95 Business Software titles. (www.pcdata.com)

Compared to last quarter this gets worse.

Scott I like your overview of Corel. I have small investment in this already, 200 shs but at the 2-3 dollar range and the book is 2.61,
and it seems that they have some good products, piss poor management, and the fact that Microsoft is being hammered, it seems to be a good flyer. Whats you opinion? you have been following this apparently for some time and I havent. With the market being what it has been for the last several days, this would be worth playing for a quick rise of several dollars or even a buck.

Scott

Novell continues to reap the rewards of their own mishandling of the Word Perfect franchise. <ggg>

Your speculation of a takeover being a possible way out strikes me as highly implausible. A friendly aquisition ususally leaves current management in place. Hostile takeovers have to pay up for whatever golden parachutes are in place. It would surprise me not a bit if Cowpland has Chairman and CEO for life contracts with huge penalties should he be ousted against his will.

A value play? Hardly. Cheap poison is still poison.
