One of the reasons there is so much confusion over how many people don't have insurance is that the 47 Million number comes from the Census. It turns out that 12 million of them were covered under medicaid. Would these be the underserved we are talking about?

One of the Big Lies in this campaign has been the overstatement of the group whho are "underserved", obviously, to make the problem look bigger than it is.

It was done by constantly referring to those who lack health insurance as those without "health care". Through the conflating of these terms, we ended up believing there are much larger numbers of people walking around bleeding than there really are.

Of course, that doesn't address the real issue, which is the current government programs are fiscally untenable, so we've ended up with legislation that only makes THAT problem worse.
