OT Verizon's coming out with some exciting smart-phones. First up will be the Motorola Droid which has had good reviews. I think the Storm 2 is already available if you want a touch-screen. Here's a review of some new models

I'm waiting for the 1 GHZ Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm to be available, hopefully by Christmas. And I'm hoping my current steam-powered phone survives until then despite an ominous crack. It's only my second phone although Qualcomm has been my biggest holding since the mid-nineties. Still, I'm not a big consumer of pharmaceuticals either.

OT CIT,
washingtonpost.com

The market seems to have taken the news of CIT filing for Chapter 11 very well. Maybe there aren't long chains of debt-holders, but surely some entities are going to be hurt?

OK it's "only" $10 Billion, and the govt is holding $2.3B. But there's the issue as to whether it survives and that effect on business.
