Hi Neeka305 (what's the 305 about?) His voice is better now than it was, plus I have to assume he could actually run up and down the scale but chooses not to for some reason. This is how he wants to present his material, which is a part of the performance. Like, dislike, I don't know, it's not melodic (good beat, easy to dance to, I give it a 92, Dick). I've heard worse. Opera is kind of the opposite of the spectrum, absolutely vacuous words expressed in beautiful voices. I didn't know artichokes were a developed taste. My point about fly fishing wasn't to put the activity down and the place you describe sounds idyllic. What struck me about your post was your outrage at the possibility that an activity you enjoyed might be outlawed. More than that, your apparent belief that thousands of poachers would be spawned and carry the day. I'm sure there would be an army of poachers, just as there are millions and millions of drug users, and yet I doubt they would prevail. My chuckle came from an image of a small child (you and the poachers, lots of frowns and foot stomping) in the face of a herd of stampeding elephants. Guys on SWAT teams may very well like your favorite spot in the woods, although there are city guys in that line of work too. They might even sympathize with a compulsive disorder to fly fish, might even enjoy a little fishing themselves here and there. Doesn't mean they wouldn't do their job. And some will actually revel in it, the problem with society being those stinking fishermen (or gypsies, or jews, or hippies, or n word or ..... you), did you ever notice how fish people smell and the funny cloths? This is your brain. This is your brain on fish. And then they put your husband in jail and confiscate the car (he was using it to transport fish). So you're home with the kids and no prospects and a couple of generations go by and your descendants are a serious problem to society, running wild through the woodlands wreaking havoc and mayhem. I know this is one sided and simplistic and yet I believe it has some validity and should be considered. City boy/country boy, I've been both, ok either way, although my bones really don't enjoy sleeping on the ground any more. I could probably adjust if I had to. ARS Edit: And I don't even know where you stand on the drug issue, we haven't had that conversation and it's not important either way. It was the petulance of your post, way back when, that stuck with me.
