He won't say it but apparently (one concludes in the absence of other explanations) he thinks that God "wrote the bible" and "directives" in it are indeed commands by god to humans to carry out certain deeds.

Further, his "verbage" indicates a belief that any alternative interpretation is "sinful" and worthy of punishment.
