I can't get my flat panels to recognise DVI from my ATI cards. Converting a digital signal to analog and back seems like a waste.

I wonder if it depends on who made it. I swear by Dell. Though I did get a free switch included with a server once that had a port go bad in a week. But no other failures of any kind that I can recall. It wasn't made by Dell, just Dell-labeled.

I wouldn't use anything else for our enterprise-level equipment, and have migrated to them for office machines. Mine's got the ability to run 6 monitors but is running 4 very large widescreens and not a single glitch of any kind (knocking on wood).
