in my point of view, the chairman should find a new CEO for the company. Looks like B. made several miscalculation about the industry. Now it is clear at least to me, PR is not the only problem, the company needs a strong CEO to lead the company out of the woods.

best regards,

PL

I received an unexpected margin call yesterday. It was
unexpected because my overall account equity was still
43%. In the past, it has gone as low as 31% without
getting a margin call. I called Schwab and they explained
to me it was because when AXC dropped below $3.50 a share
they calculate the requirement differently. Even though AXC
is only about 15% of my holdings, it affects the overall
requirement so that even though I had 43% equity I was
getting called.

I know I am not explaining this well. That is because I
didn't really bother to get the details, but the moral of
the story is that with AXC under $3.50, the minimum account
equity requirements go up. I know this has been discussed
to some extent in the past, so forgive me if I am wasting
server space... but be advised.

By the way, as I was contemplating what to do about the call,
sell, cover or what, it occured to me that in theory AXC might
be a be a good company for IBM to consider buying at this point.
With the wealth of patents, leading edge storage, KM, it would
seem like a great fit. It's just a daydream on my part... but
maybe Ed Bramson will read this and put a for sale sign up...
