Bruce,
..>>>.By the way, as I was contemplating what to do about the call, sell, cover or what, it occured to me that in theory AXC might
be a be a good company for IBM to consider buying at this point.
With the wealth of patents, leading edge storage, KM, it would
seem like a great fit. It's just a daydream on my part.<<<<

these have been my thoughts before as well, especially with the 2 KM co-patent holders getting back together again.....IBM could use its very rich share price as equity, in lieu of cash, and then throw its legal department into the royalty licensing issue.....what do you think would happen if someone using some of AXC's old patent material got a call from an IBM legal guy suggesting they get together and discuss the matter??.....deep pockets here would certainly speed up the process of tracking down and pursuing any infringements....plus the R&D support in manpower & $$$'s would soon either prove or disprove KM....would not the total of all Ampex's units be more valuable under the IBM umbrella??

jl

Hear, Hear! One of my reasons for buying this stock and "holding" for
ohh so long is that I saw the potential for sale of a great company.
Throw in all that Ampex has to offer and put a price tag on it that
is ridiculously low - We could all be looking at owning shares of IBM
someday!

Bruce

Can you let us know what you finally DO
about the margin call? Or at least
what your options turn out to be?
I hope not, but any of us could be
in this situation in the future.

Thanks.
