I've been thinking about this power point. I say there are dire implications for health care in this

I looked through the power points of that presentation. The way I see it, Hasan first briefly goes over some of the basics of Islam, and then goes deeper into various problems and punishments which Muslims may suffer if they don't do the "right thing". Basically, he is showing that at least some Muslims may find themselves in an absolutely untenable situation when called upon to fight against other Muslims on the side of non-believers. He was trying to make a case that the US military should allow those who are unable to deal with the conflict to step aside - as conscientious objectors.

After what happened everything that Hasan did and said is hard to see in anything but a most ominous light. However, imho, I'd prefer to see some Muslim soldiers being relieved from duties which they cannot perform, rather than have them join the opposition.
