Your neighborhood sounds much more lively than ours- It is your fault, by the way, that I bought all that damn high quality chocolate.

In our old neighborhood, close to South Dallas, kids from the inner city bussed in for Halloween. Hundreds of trick-or-treaters, crammed into the beds of old pick-ups, unloaded at the end of the street and attacked the houses like a swarm of locusts. I spent about 50-60 dollars on candy. The first year, before I knew better, I ran out and used my kids' stuff, with them screaming in protest("Not the Three Musketeers!!!"). Finally, when that was gone, we locked up, turned out all the lights and hid. I could never have used your technique or we wouldn't have survived the night.

Alexa- did your neighbors move to San Jose?

I am imagining them dead. Unlike Janice's disco, they do NOT have good soundproofing. Instead they have four children, and angry evangelistic tendencies.

I will be in the backyard torturing Barney until he sings backwards. Then I will spill his blood into the garden and plant durian seeds in the puddle, fertilized with his purple entrails.

When the durian ripens, I will lob them onto their backporch while they scream at each other.
