Greg,

How do you know this? Sounds interesting - why do they need to use CF? Why not linear flash?

If true, great. My contention is that the apps for CF are finding more uses and acceptance in industrial apps and consumer applications (industrial computers, digital cameras, HPC's, cell phones, security applications (spyrus)... the list will be getting longer) and SNDK wins.

ALL: Tell me if you want some questions asked to our beloved CEO and his new partners. I will ask at the news conference, if I'm allowed to...

This will compete against the smart phones running the GeoWorks operating system. The Windows CE guys would love a product like this. It would allow them to compete in the phone market.

I'm not quite convinced yet, but I will see more on Wednesday.

Who will win? Smart phones or Windows CE machines?

Rex

Greg - well, I surely hope that you're right. I also hope that Siemens will use Windows CE for the PC-cell phone instead of some other OS. Any company going against the Gates boys will suffer a painful death. This could change but I haven't seen any company successfuly chalenging Microsoft.

>>Why would someome buy a basic cell phone when they can get a computer with cell phone capabilities and a lot more?<<

Uh, portability? Cost? Ease of use?

IF this is true, (I don't necessarily believe it just because I read in in cyberspace), it certainly will not replace cell phones. In fact, I would think it would be a high end niche product for some time until the price of cellular service comes closer to ISP prices if you're talking about using it to connect to the internet. AS a cell phone, what, everyone is going to get a portable laptop and carry that? or a Palmtop? What about the mouth and ear piece? Hey, it would be cool, but I certainly don't see it as a threat of any kind to cell phones. Tell me what I'm missing.

Greg, Would "cell phone card" compete with Texas Instruments memory used in cell phones or other products? Own both so interested in effect on each stock and am a financial person and not so great on engineering technicals. Would this new use affect the sales of TXN in any way? Thanks and excuse my ignorance. LL
