[Acquisition]

Bill --

I like your line of thinking. No, Amati doesn't need a chip manufacturer. These are easily accessed off shore. And I'm curious about NetSpeed. I just wonder about the synergies and what it would cost to buy them. It appears they based their first products on Globespan's CAP and have an agreement with Motorola for DMT, so based on this, I'm assuming this puts their future in the same predicatment as Westell's before the merger. Their relationship with Nortel seems to be one of their key strengths. Other than their Telus contract for 2,500 lines, they're in several trials --- one in Georgia and one in Arkansas, and along with everyone else, one in Ina City, Japan. Their management team certainly is impressive.

What about Ipsilon?

It's hard to estimate the value of a private company still in development stage.

[Stentor filing and BC webpage]

Bill --

Does this have any significance? I noticed the wording from different from the former filing.

stentor.ca

<<<The terminal equipment associated with the Derived Channel will
be provided by the service provider at both the subscriber and
central office ends of the loop. The connection to the Class 5
switch is a normal two wire, POTS interface. Both the central
office and subscriber located Derived Channel equipment must
be certified in accordance with Certification Specification CS-03.>>>

What's "Derived Channel?"

Also, is this BC page new? I certainly didn't see Westell highlighted this prominently in my earlier searches:
