[re: orckit]

That is kind of what I was thinking but put the list out there to be more complete. I have tried to go to NetSpeed through Telechoice article link but cannot connect (Article on ALLTEL using Netspeed). Is there any info on their financial position available??

I am no expert, but I don't see why we would buy a chip manufacturer at this point. I no it is excrutiating waiting for MOT and TI but I think we are pretty close on both so why buy now. My impression is that AMTX / WSTL will have very good relationship with MOT and TI.

Haha bill

You were reading my post whilst I was reading this one of yours.

You neglected to mention that Orckit has partial T1 symmetric DSL solutions just sitting there waiting to compete with PAIR only lacking in telco relationships. (ROC has goodies in that dept also, again lacking the right relationships.) ORCTF also bleeding edge in VDSL with plenty engineering talent.

My first thoughts on an aquisition went to ORCTF. Shelf registration seems to allow plenty of time to plan for a shopping spree.
