Tejek - I think you realize how easy it would be to flip a majority of Americans into bombing Iran? oh, wait, a majority already do support that. oh, but we need out of Afghanistan? and how many of those sweet lil pacifist 'lefties' are all too ready to get all skeered of the big bad Iran and bomb them? all too many.

I am not afraid of Iran. Iranians are more like Americans than many think.

I was for the quick strike in Afghanistan to take out the Taliban and elements of AQ, then to leave. Americans were gung ho to do more.

It was stupid.....looking for revenge. When you come from such a place, you end up making a bigger mess. What really infuriates me is that Afghan. was allowed to wallow in a mess while the Bushies focused all their attention on Iraq. Was it not possible for them to do two things at one???? UGH!

I never bought into Iraq. what was it... 95% were into it? hankering for it?

here we are now.

now I believe in working out a plan for Afghanistan but I am somehow seen as 'outside of the tribe". whatever. I was happy to be outside of the tribe when it was in a blood lust after Iraq. And I am happy to be so now.

we created a situation. we have a responsibility. I think it is as simple as that.

This is where we differ. I figure if there is no possible reasonable resolution anywhere in the near future, I think its time to pack up and get your butts out of there. Certainly allow for a transition period.....so Karzai can get his act together.......but then that's that.

I mean what kind of place is it that the opposition candidate refuses to do a runoff? How badly was he threatened? Such BS.
