It's hard to explain what the attraction is. There's nothing more peaceful than a calm sea, light wind, clear skies and only the sound of the water lapping up against the boat and the wind in the sails. With a proper stereo, there's nothing like listening to music - no other distraction. Nothing more exciting than making a landfall. You can see the land from way off but it takes hours to get there. Makes your heart pound.

Since you can drown in a bathtub I wouldn't give a lot of thought to how deep the ocean is;-)
