Ever been to China? I don't think the growth is overestimated. They have at least 800 Billion dollars of cash on hand. Everywhere you look construction is taking place....and that was more than 10 years ago....and the growth has not stopped and probably accelerated. But the country is still strictly under government control.... The people are very happy remembering what it was like before under Mao... Did you know China is shipping some jobs here? Have built a solar cell fab faclity in Arizona to assemble solar cells...notice that I said assemble, not produce or develop. I guess what you need to explain is how such expansion and success can happen under a totalitarian government.
