I got a taste of Medicare foolishness today. I scheduled an endoscopy and colonoscopy for the first time since falling under Medicare. It seems that I can no longer have the procedures done at the doctor's facility. Medicare requires a hospital setting, which is more costly (and way less convenient for both the doctor and me). Medicare also requires an EKG. Silly for a low-risk patient like me. That extra money could go into covering shingles vaccinations or something else useful.
