I had this vegetable dish at a Ladies outing this summer and managed to wrestle the recipe out of its maker.

This recipe is absolutely delicious and I can guarantee there won't be any left if you make it, and people will be asking for more.

Broccoli casserole

20 oz broccoli (I use fresh, but you can use frozen)
4 bullion cubes (chicken)

1/2 C butter
4 T butter
2 cups milk (add a little water if you need to thin)

2/3 C stuffing
6 T butter (topping)
2/3 C nuts (topping)

Cook broccoli in water with bullion
drain
make thickening (butter, flour and milk)
mix thickening with broccoli
put into casserole dish

Brown stuffing with nuts and butter.
add some in and sprinkle some on top of casserole
bake @ 350 for 45 minutes

Those rolls sound delicious. I might have to practice on these. Yeast scares me.

The beans are like something I make regularly. I just tried a new one that is basically the same but you add a 1/2 cup sour cream.

Can I use butter for shortening?
