Quick comments -

1) SACMAN - Novell's market cap is 10% of Oracle's and decreasing as they lose money annually. Why they would want to align themselves with a 13 person startup company with less than $100,000 in actual sales is a mystery. SACM has no installed base from which to project reliability. We don't even know if SACM's scanner really works. The SACM guys tried to sell their creation to DBII, but DBII didn't bite. Either the guys as DBII are incredibly stupid or SACM is not all they claim to be. Maybe they went with SACM because Identix couldn't or wouldn't work with them. It remains to be seen if SACM will ever sell any machines. Don't go counting them as competition yet, but this does add credence to the explosion of the biometric market.

2) It doesn't appear that the Fujitsu PCCard scanner is ours, but who knows?

3) MasterCard - As I have posted here before, credit cards will not be bio protected, but smartcards will. Smartcards are catching on in Europe faster than here and will likely transition from magstripe credit card to combo magstripe/smartcard to full smartcard over period of time.

steve,

Wonderful find.

Whe need to get some E-Mails off to these guys right away. If you have not done so, let me know....and I'll do it.

Fingerscan works with Fujitsu.....in a sales and manufacturing capacity. We need to see what Fujitsu is up to.

Very interesting possibilities here. We could be a reseller of this product.....or it could be our product. Hmmmm.
