GWB clearly made every effort to keep this from becoming news, and in fact, was successful -- the reporting of it was exceedingly obscure.

Contrast it with Obama making a photo op out of HIS visit.

There were no press on hand to cover it. That is got out later doesn't change that the Bush's tried to keep it secret.

Bush was one of the least political Presidents we've had. He didn't even make a concerted effort to defend himself against slander.
