Harry Reid said "this nation will finally guarantee its people the right to live free from the fear of illness and death, which can be prevented by decent health care for all" and you have the gall to talk about Republican's being stupid and classless.

Vote Democrat for life! Republicans aren't good enough for you.

The R's might have lost something long term because the whole party ends up looking as stupid and classless as the base.

Maybe. But it was an important issue and as you say, they were NOT going to be heard unless they they said something that got peoples' attention.

There has been far more lying by the Democrats than there has by the Republicans. Not that ANY lying serves to improve the debate, but the litany of lies that have been spewed by the Left during this debate is staggering.

The Death Panels distortion is bad perhaps. But it does have a basis in fact (as was pointed out on ABC's Sunday program, the Senate bill from last night DOES provide for government control of certain procedures). So, how far is THAT from "death panels" by another name? It may not be that far.

But when the Left comes claiming the bill won't cost money (or worse, that it save money), that it will be paid for by magically cutting costs they've never been able to cut before, that it will foster "competition" when in fact it will eliminate it, that medicare isn't being cut when it is, the list goes on.

It may be the Rs didn't appear to lie as much because they couldn't get their voice heard, I don't know. But it is disingenuous for anyone to claim the Ds weren't more outrageous in the misrepresentation.

From the outset all I wanted was an honest debate. The Ds are, IMO, responsible for that not happening.

Did you catch 60 Minutes tonight?

Looks like "Death Panels" are alive and well in some places ;)

Someone is classless. You think that Republicans are classless and stupid. You call yourself a conservative. The things you post do not compute.

Is it classless to watch eight years of 24 x 7 character assassination of our President? Is it stupid to recognize the Manmade Global Warmongering fraud? Is it classless to bite one's tongue while the lunatic fringe of the democrat party attacks moderation and democrats cheer and clap? Is it stupid to ask spendthrift Republicans in Congress to stop spending like democrats?

Someone is classless, but it is not Republicans. Most Republicans waited far longer to criticize Obama's policies than democrats took to classlessly attack President Bush personally.

I understand you want to be the appeaser, but try to be balanced in your coverage.
