I agree that the entire population should be risk averaged, and covered. But that in no way implies the government is the only means of achieving this. The government does not provide my auto insurance, yet I'm required to have it in order to drive.

I know you think a government run system can be more efficient than the current private system. I think the current private system can change with suitable encouragement.
