peer-reviewed studies

The Peer Review system had been compromised by these people, and the editorial integrity of major journals should be subject of further scrutiny in the light of these emails.

Some may prefer a more comprehensive and balanced view.

We have been trying to get that for years, but the AWG has become the peg on which the majority of world leaders hung their hats, and as it became obvious that the various schemes could be used in ways to extract money from the duped populace big business has chimed in out of self interest not in the name of any balanced debate.

Why anyone gives any credence to "cap and trade" a financial flim flam originally promoted by the crooks at Enron is beyond comprehension.

"The science is settled" approach and the general platitudes espoused by you and your ilk TRIG without ever critically examining a single specific is a standard political ploy to avoid actual critical examination of those "thousands of data points" you so glibly refer to, without mentioning a single one of them, or the plethora of conflicting information.

This is probably not the appropriate thread to continue this discussion on, even though the matter has the potential to create economic chaos if the more rabid AWG disciples have their way.

This is the appropriate place to continue if you wish...

<There are literally thousands of data points, including empirical data>

And now, all those data points have been called into question with the hacking of the e-mails. Are they real data points or are they made up and "filled in" and then passed around as empirical data? Peer-reviewed studies have not been a strong suit with this group and the UN studies are based on these data points that may or mat not be valid.

<stated that your mind was made up from the word "go".>

I didn't say my mind was made up from the word go, but when a group shouts louder and louder about something, it usually is a red flag.

This is going to go down as the biggest scam of the century.

TRIG;

Reminds me of the bull shit arguments made over the Spotted Owl. Virtually all scientist that looked at the issue understood what was happening to the old growth ecosystem - elk herds and salmon runs. A few weeds in bed with industry argued the silliness of the SO - but of course as time went on the science just got stronger. Industry said lumber prices would shoot to the moon and nobody could afford to live in a new house. .........Then we had the biggest housing explosion in all time and there was still more lumber/logs than we knew what to do with despite the set asides for old growth dependent specie.

People that refuse to accept science - especially using the silly excuse of a few dishonest emails - are doing the bidding of corporate interest. It is every bit as sad as the military industrial complex proponents.
