One fact remains clear: We have failed miserably to insure 100% of the people of the United States of America. There is no need for the government to provide health care. But there is clearly a need for the government to be involved in making sure that insurance is provided that covers every single man woman and child in America. A means tested approach is typical of places that cannot come to terms with the nature of the issue. You want maximum bureaucracy? You want confusion? You want administrative complexity? Then go the means tested route -- you will get what you deserve -- high costs and poor health care coverage.

hmmmm how strange, if there is a clear NEED to provide health insurance why on this earth would we even suggest that the government, of all entities... be in a position to come even close to do so...? i mean, the government seems to be acting as though it is making sure no one in this country is free of debt. in other words... a nation of debt slaves... still they want to provide [the real word is control] health insurance? ...lmao they must really think we are very stupid....

they can't manage finances and they pretend they will provide health insurance?

there is a reason why getting a degree in finance takes about half the time of what it takes to become a doctor... (but not according to the bureaucrats) a stroke of a pen and voila... they will provide health insurance...

how about controlling tort law... or insurance companies... or... oh, brilliant... the GOVERNMENT ITSELF !?

we really have reached the pinnacle of stupidity looking up to the most inefficient entity on earth and pretend they can 'be involved in making sure that every american gets insurance'

the inmates are in control of the arse-ylum.....
