You all laughed, it was hilarious, a few years ago when I suggested this possibility. Of course, since then, China's demands have ramped up, so the laughing was probably justified.


Refiner Valero has decided to permanently shut down a refinery in Deleware, eliminating 550 jobs along with it. So far, refiners like Valero and Tesoro have been idling plants and capacity until the market improves.


What's wrong with this picture? Not too long ago you were telling us how the oil companies are gouging us, taking advantage of poor Americans, making too much money. News Flash: Companies that are making that much money don't shut down the very facilities that enable them to do so.
