Every once in a while watching the tactics of both sides makes me flash to the movie, "War of the Roses." Non-constructive "with prejudice."

Everyone blames that on the economy but I think it is the overstepping on the legislative agenda I think it's both - with the underlying reasons residing in human nature. We are subject to mood changes and cyclicities. During good times we become exuberant and blow bubbles.... then malaise sets in and we push too far in the negative direction. Somewhere along the way we feel fatigue and want a nanny(state) to take care of us. Oops and downs. This too shall pass, except that governments do not step back and give up powers easily.
