>> Obama: Afghanistan, not Iraq, should be focus

That was six months ago when Obama announced this is definitely the "new strategy". Unfortunately, the "new strategy" is worse than the OLD strategy after six months.

So, now they're searching for a new NEW strategy.

I notice he isn't trotting out to meet the coffins of deceased American heroes anymore.

Must just be a once-a-year sort of thing.

"So let me be clear: al Qaeda and its allies – the terrorists who planned and supported the 9/11 attacks – are in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Multiple intelligence estimates have warned that al Qaeda is actively planning attacks on the U.S. homeland from its safe-haven in Pakistan. And if the Afghan government falls to the Taliban – or allows al Qaeda to go unchallenged – that country will again be a base for terrorists who want to kill as many of our people as they possibly can."

For decades now.....its been the Japanese Americans, then the Soviets and the Chinese, then the Viet Cong, then the Soviets again, then al Qaida......according to you all, at any given moment the world is ready to attack the US.
