imo your ethical point of view (compassion as virtue) is distorting your awareness of govt policies...as pointed out by C2 from an economic point of view current administration has changed nothing for the better and is not even discussing any kind of a shift away from the printing and borrowing that has brought us to our current disaster, and their medical and energy policies simply further expand govt powers and expenditures...also pushing us in the wrong direction...and they are impervious to discussion or the desires of the voters...ie, they will ram whatever program they can patch together thru congress in order to ensure that they move us towards more statism...put a positive spin on it if you like, but the basic principles of our govt are leading to even larger problems than we have now, with no indication that they have a clue or desire to move in a better direction. rp
