Poker is a matter of seeing the game. Where has compromise worked with the right wing so far in the Obama presidency. My only point is we have to understand we are in a fight, just as we had to fight for integration in the 60's. The racists were not going stop. In fact they filibustered for 14 days to stop integration. Formed a third party and killed freedom riders. Set plitce dogs on little girls and used fire hosese on them. Beat them at every turn. So the best thing we can do is to use our power of numbers to bring the blue dogs into line and help us fight the right wing. Let me give an example put forth by Howard Dean. If we had gone straight to reconciliation out of the shute we could have proably passed a good health care program months ago. Where did it get us cozying up to Lieberman, Snow and the rest. Just wasted our time.
