fussing over their 'disputed' territory, getting upset at India for India letting the Lama visit it.

India's stance re the Lama was actually quite impressive in my view. China tried to pressure them. summary:

China: Don't you let that Lama man go there if you wanna stay on our good side.

India: Lama man can go where he wants to go in our country. btw, that lil piece is ours.

I don't know if Obama & crew had this in mind, but making the 1st State Dinner for Singh's visit is quite clever.

We tend to be all China this and China that. And oh big bad Russia. And Iraq and Afghanistan...

Singh's visit could have been rather overlooked, but with the 1st State Dinner in honor of his visit... big airtime for India and our relationship.
