I forgot to mention; in the fall of '62, I scoped out a bike shop where I could smash a window and steal some wheels. Why? Cuz I was in Berkeley, and knew that the bombs falling during the Cuban Missile Crisis would take out the Bay Bridge, and the only way I could make it home to the Peninsula was to bike down to San Jose and up the other side.

I don't expect to have those thoughts with Iran. Being wiser, I'd head right for Ground Zero, but the thought of thinking like that has me ROTF.
What is my worry with Iran? That they tie up the Straits of Hormuz. Don't need a nuke for that.

Vinter;

And that Iran's government is driven by religious doctrine?.

We view as a threat that which we don't understand. Conservatives have fine tuned this to an art form. I find government by fear to be despicable.

As to Iran; why wouldn't Iran want the bomb? Only those countries with the bomb have the power. Do you think Iran is fatalistic? I don't.
