WHOOAAA! I'm no fan of Huckabee, but he did NOT pardon this guy. There's alot of misinformation being tossed about. "November 30, 2009 Gov Huckabee did not release the killer Gov Huckabee did not release the man suspected of killing 4 law enforcement officers. He commuted the suspect's sentence in 2000 from 108 years to 47 years in prison. With a sentence of 47 years, an intervening party - a parole board - could decide whether he should be paroled or not. Huckabee did NOT set him free and did not parole him - but merely made it possible for him to be reviewed by others to make that decision. The now cop killer suspect was reviewed and paroled.
