When my daughter was teaching she had to buy supplies out of her own pocket, which I thought was unconscionable.

She had about 45 kids at one time.

One of the problems is the schools have to teach too much politically correct crap that does not materially improve the knowledge, skills, or ability to learn for the kids.

I really don't see the benefit of state lotteries, and nobody seems to track where the money goes. It sure benefits the lottery companies. It's nothing more than voluntary taxation at best and a criminal enterprise at worst.

I also have to say that when I worked for the government at the local level we did our best to achieve our objectives and busted our butts to do it. We hardly ever failed to meet them, and often my unit found itself making up the slack from other units.

We were all from the old school, I guess. It's not that way any more.

The problem exists at the higher levels, I think. They get their jollies out of how many people, dollars, and resources march to their drum.

We got our jollies out of how much we produced, and that is the big difference.
