Gold $1201 and Silver $19.20 definitely in "bubble" mode from the nature of the price action

>>TJ, forget gold - silver now at 18.95 more than doubled from October last year when it was below $9 - which hard asset except crude oil doubled in price within a year?

Which hard asset?

Palladium:

Rough data: 10/24/08 USD 168/oz

12/1/09 USD 382.5/oz

Increase: 228%

Stats on Palladium:

Twice as rare as Platinum, which is quite a bit more rare than gold.

And, actually useful if you want to say, transmute elements in your garage... <g!>.

<<which hard asset except crude oil doubled in price within a year?>>

... probably a little building situated in central biz district owned by the property club i help to manage, along with a particularly good series of mid-year buys

"... have added massively to hk INDUSTRIAL real estate by way of my family and friends real estate club and own account at deep value discount from everything else around the planet and everywhere else hk ..."

"... Rental real estate @ 41.5% (30 INDUSTRIAL, 70 residential) ..."

I am now reviewing a parking garage opportunity, 64 spaces on one floor of 7 floors, managed by one company, opposite one of the biggest malls and biz districts in plenty-car-too-few-parking hk, yielding 5.91% net, with i am guessing close to 100% probability w/i 15 years of redevelopment in rapid change hk.

the project is perhaps too big a bite at once, but at mere 3x price of one 1,260 net sft ocean view low-density high-ceiling apartment, comprised of 64 little money making spaces more than likely never vacant, may be good ... struggling mentally ... "dada, dada, what do you do?" ... "coconut, dada sits on parking spaces"

so, yes, gold not the only possibility

come to think of it, the parking spaces would provide so much firepower per month for gold accumulation ;0)
