Sure. YOu can shoot holes in the theory, but if 2 scientists out of 100 give a thumbs down to the science and the other 98 give a thumbs up, then there are at least 3 possibilities for what is happening:
1) the 98 are correct and the 2 are wrong
2) the 98 are engaged in massive groupthink based on erroneous data
3) the 98 are engaged in a giant conspiracy theory

For the last few years, mostly GW deniers advocated for scenario # 3. I think that is stupid, because it is so highly unlikely.

Scenario # 2 is also highly unlikely given the breadth of data and multidisciplinary analysis that all points to similar conclusions.

Scenario # 1 is the highest probability scenario. So if you are a rational thinker and a betting man, you'd go with the highest probability scenario. All other choices could be true, but the are likely not.
