Something really went wrong. We had the No. 2 against more troops. Gates probably toed the Pentagon line. Would you know what Hillary thought. She probably went with Gates and thereby forced Obama's hand.

I don't know. But I am apprehensive that Obama has set himself up for failure by concluding that this war is a military one instead of a police issue.

But who knows. He maybe out to get either one or all of them: Osama, Zawahiri and Mullah Omar.

That would be in 1990/1991 in Desert Storm. Whether you believe in that war or not is irrelevant, the generals were left to run the war without political interference and they were magnificent.
