What messes I got myself into by believing in certain people. It's a tough dilemma. If you as a person want to be decent, principled and responsible to others, it's hard to approach an outright con artist with the venom and suspicion they deserve. I have certainly dealt with a couple of people who turned out to be much less than what I had come to expect when events go sour. Somehow they live with themselves and the knowledge that they go through life trying to gain at others' expense. The best we can do is not follow their example.
