So be it the error of your ways, self defeating even in its original utterance. Decency is more or less a comparative term. In their personal and professional lives they stand out among other politicians as being comparatively ethical, modest, and well mannered. I'm not sure how you are defining indecent but questioning Obama's credentials hardly qualifies as indecent in the world of politics, and definitely not in the world of everyday people. I have no hesitation in talking to to radicals or any other 'types' who represent something different than my way of thinking. I view outreach as one avenue to personal growth in my own life but for a politician it seems absolutely essential. So they could call me a consorter if they wanted and it would be no skin off my nose. Shoot, I even talk to the likes of you and haven't been harmed a whit by it so far. I don't see how those comments have done any harm to Obama either. But that isn't the point, attempting to embarrass Palin by attacking her for family, womanhood, motherhood, faithfulness, lifestyle, or her 'down home' style of relating to the public serves to raise her popularity not destroy it. <...acted in ways that suggest they are arrogant and working mightily to manipulate the people who support them...... Again you miss your mark and with typical irony. No body finds arrogance to be an attractive characteristic but both of these individuals come across as 'oh shucks, I'm just common folk'; which is far from any definition of the word arrogant I've come across. And, working hard to persuade people to get on board with your platform is practically the definition of what all politicians do. I'm sure you could find plenty of valid criticisms of these two people. Why you and others like you pick 'decency' is remarkable.... which is why, is suppose, it struck me to remark on it today. Maybe it's the SNL skits that got stuck in your brain but that's just a guess.
