Decency is more or less a comparative term. In their personal and professional lives they stand out among other politicians as being comparatively ethical, modest, and well mannered.

>>>”On what basis are you making that determination?”

I am making it on the basis stated (ie comparatively ethical, modest, and well mannered). I also wrote how/why I think they qualify but you seem to have skipped over that content for something of your own.

>>> Do you think suggesting that Obama consorted with terrorists is a sign of decency?

Well no, but I don’t think a ripe apple in my fridge is a sign that Tiger cheated on his wife either. One thing has nothing to do with the other. B'sides I've already said what I thought about that comment.

>>> Do you think commuting the sentence of a man with a long criminal record so he can go out and kill 4 cops is a sign of decency?

I would say clemency is an act of mercy Governors can use when convinced such an act would serve better than a particular punishment. I don’t consider acts of mercy indecent. I am reasonably sure Huckabee didn’t grant clemency to anyone expecting them to commit heinous crimes as you suggest and that if a do over was possible Huckabee would not grant clemency for that particular 16 year old with a 108 year sentence. I wouldn't have granted any mercy but I am especially convinced that heinous criminals are not reconcilable, so none would get mercy if it were on my watch.

I don't know why you are insisting on 'decency' as your tag word, it is a loser. Like you dropped the arrogance allogation when you realized it was false. There are many other words which could be used to make your point effectively but feel free to keep pushing the decency thing as much as you want.
