Demographically the US is much better off than Europe. At a fertility of 2.05, the US is only slightly below replacement, and immigration more than makes up for that.

Europe on the other hand is considerably below that with fertility rates of the top five countries Germany, UK, France, Italy and Spain at 1.41,1.66,1.98,1.31,1.31(!).

What's even worse, almost all of the new EU states of central and eastern Europe are in a demographic death dive with fertility rates well below 1.5.
