But this gives you an opportunity to talk to him about some heavy stuff you would otherwise never bring up. Sure if you sent him to movies like this all the time you would be Bad, but this could be a really wonderful opportunity to discuss really deep moral issues, the kind kids usually aren't receptive to. The fact that he was disturbed by the movie shows just how great a job you've done.

penni and moms and pops here - i enjoyed reading your post
this morning of your time with ammo. bittersweet to me today.
i spent last evening in my beloved holler with the fueding
adults and the confused younguns. there was one set of parents
there. the others are all split up and far too busy running
round to pay attention to their children. and by the end of
the evening, the one parental unit there had got into it. with
the wife packing her car and leaving and the husband ranting
senselessly. and me in his face, angry and upset, trying to
talk sense to him. yeah right. gawwwwd i hate it sometimes.
and two young couples there, rather adorable young couples,
trying to learn to get along and forge a lasting relationship.
felt like taking rambi's uzi to all them 'adults'. including
the 'mother' who had borrowed her son's car the night before
and taken off with her drug-addict boyfriend. they hadn't been
seen or heard from since. wish sometimes that i was peter pan.
with a safe home for my tossed-aside teenagers to come to. hmmm.
forgive my seriousness please. but getting on here and reading
your post and then thinking of all the ones where y'all discuss
your children so lovingly and speak of the work and joy of
raising them really drove home the contrast to me. and i find
myself wishing these kids had it so good and being happy that
y'all's children have parents who work hard for them. feel
down-right sentimental 'bout it. okayokay, enough.

<<After the movie, we told him his R days were over. And he said that he agreed.>>

It doesn't sound like you goofed at all. Unless you think it frightful to send Ammo out into the world where he might find violence and evil repulsive. I don't know about the religion thing, though....

BTW- How come you never hear about "full backside nudity"? If it's full it's always frontal?
