Of course the reglaciation starts in Canada as your link showed, but the cooling leading to the nucleation of permanent ice can be anywhere, including down near the equator in Africa. The Houston snow is not the place where the glaciers themselves will form, it's just the place where the cooling became evident [among many other places last winter]. The snow in the last couple of days is the harbinger of more, not the location of the glaciation.

But you are right that I am making it up. That's what we scientists do. We make up theories based on observations, predict what's going to happen, then see if our theories work.

Sensible Canadians will sell their properties in Quebec and Ontario now, [and those little eastern bits and pieces] and buy land in arid zones in Aridzona before it turns into lush, damp, temperate pasture. I'm eying deserts in Oz.
