FWIW: the business section of the sunday NY Times was very bearish today. one of the front page articles had a chart pointing out that the market was basically flat from 1972 to 1982 and the text said that it could happen again.

I do not have a position yet, but am considering shorting AMZN. It has a market cap of ~1.4B w/ no substantial earnings for the forseeable future. I stopped by the AMZN thread and I could not find one poster who was long the stock. Even though it is grossly overvalued, I am a bit reluctant to short. It is a Wall Street darling and came back strong near its all time high after Monday's rout. This one is worth no more than $20 IMHO.

Bill, I have noticed that the rate of posts to SI has been declining for the past two weeks. Do you think there is any significance to that?

CR RE: ACLY

Keep on studying. One thing from the cash flow statement in the 10K cash flow from operating activities for 97 (936K)lower than in 96(1105) as they increased receivables by 479K so they did not get the cash! I.e. this guys are recognizing revenue before completing/delivering contracts? Trouble!!!!

I think I will short a big chunk tommorrow. Don't care it may go up. Gravity will pull this puppy down!

try free edgar have you?

Hi CR: on ACLY contract with UNISYS Aystralia. I wonder how significant this is. Have you shorted? I almost did today but held due personal reasons.
